Mission Statement

The El Paso Independent School District for Adult Education, through Literacy, Citizenship, Basic Education, GED, job training, productive employment, and life-long learning, in partnership with public and private agencies provides opportunities for educationally disadvantaged adults which will enhance their professional, educational, and personal skills to achieve self-sufficiency to compete in the 21st Century.

Since 1978, the San Jacinto Adult Learning Center has been the headquarters for Adult Education in the El Paso Independent School District. We offer a variety of free classes in English as a Second Language (ESL), Basic Skills, Citizenship, and General Education Development (GED).
