You do not know if  your reading, writing , and math skills are strong enough?
You do not know what career you are interested in or how to find out?
You do not understand the college system and culture?
You are not sure if you have the confidence as a person or the support you need to succeed?
Purpose:
This course gives adults the time and opportunity to develop an understanding of postsecondary education and the skills needed for successful transition.  It focuses on four areas of college readiness:
Personal Readiness:				Academic Readiness:
	Support Systems					Reading, Writing, Math, Computers
College Readiness:				Career Readiness:
	Understanding the college system,		Career Exploration
	  survival skills	
A course for adult students (18+) who have a GED or high school diploma  will be offered at the San Jacinto Adult Learning Center beginning December 1, 2009.   All instruction is in English.
